These newer correction methods are even safer, more comfortable and more effective than ever before. As a Doctors of Chiropractic, both Dr. James Emmett and Dr. Trisha Lilly have had years of training and experience in spinal adjustment.

Corrective Exercises
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Specific exercises and stretches can help your body stay in balance and in health.

We often find it helpful to "coach" our patients on certain activities they should avoid or do differently to avoid aggravating their particular health challenge. Our goal is to help every patient achieve a fulfilling and happy lifestyle full of the activities they enjoy most. We recognize that each our patient is a whole person, and help them reach true health and wellness is a collaborate effort between our professionals and our patients.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing developed over thousands of years as part of the traditional medicine of China, Japan and other eastern countries.
The earliest records of acupuncture date back over 2,000 years and today there are over 3,000,000 practitioners worldwide. Although the majority of these practice in the East, over the last 50 years an increasing number of people in the West have trained to become acupuncturists.
The practice of acupuncture is thought to have begun with the discovery that the stimulation of specific areas on the skin affects the functioning of certain organs of the body.
It has evolved into a system of medicine that restores and maintains health by the insertion of fine needles into acupuncture points just beneath the body’s surface. These points are in specific locations and lie on channels of energy.
Acupuncture can be helpful in specific conditions, such as the relief of pain, but it is, in fact extremely effective in a wide variety of conditions through its power to stimulate the mind and body's own healing response.

Orthotics
Custom orthotics are individually made devices worn in shoes, intended to improve biomechanical problems involving the feet, ankles, legs, hips and spine; thereby reducing pain and stiffness and optimizing function in these areas. Because orthotics are unique for each person they can be made in a variety of styles to best fit the shoes you wear most often.
If you consult your chiropractic doctor regarding a spine-related problem, you may be surprised by the interest and attention given to your feet. With 26 different bones, 22 muscles and over 100 ligaments, your feet are engineering miracles! They are the foundation of your entire body. Like a chain reaction, even small problems in the feet can affect the rest of the musculoskeletal system.
Virtually everyone can benefit in some way from wearing orthotics; be it incoporated into the treatment plan of a certain condition, or as a way of maintaining optimal body mechanics and minimizing "wear and tear".
